Transport Planner

About Us

Via Solutions are a small family run business, based in Farsley, Leeds and have been operating since 2008. Our main work involves providing transport related advise to support the planning applications for various types of development projects. This includes a broad range of schemes across the country for a lot of different clients including large solar farms, schools, warehousing facilities, food manufacturing, hotels, residential and much more!

About You


  • Minimum 4 GCSEs at grades 9-4 (A*-C) including English, maths and science (qualifying criteria for the BTEC in Transport planning, all applicants to the course will be required to pass an assessment and be aged 16 or over)

  • Good time management and ability to prioritise workload.

  • Initiative to work on own, but also as part of a wider team.

  • To be highly motivated and have a will to continue personal professional development.

  • Minimum Strong written, numerical and verbal communication skills

  • Good IT skills

  • Willingness to learn


  • A-levels or AS levels

  • Any experience of working with AUTOCAD software package

The Role 

  Your role will include:

  • Producing drawings with a high level of accuracy to support technical reports

  • Carrying out site visits & traffic survey work/data

  • Liaising with other team members, co-professionals and clients

  • Supporting senior staff in the written preparation of transport assessments and travel plans

  • Supporting senior staff with the preparation of traffic models

  • Some general admin duties

Working hours will be full time Monday to Friday (37.5 hours a week), with time allowed off for college as required.
